Admiring the persistence you put into your website and in depth information you present.
It’s nice to come across a blog every once in a
while that isn’t the same out of date rehashed information.
Great read! I’ve bookmarked your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds
to my Google account.
Interesting, I’ve thought about this too with what I buy. I think a lot of it is the “thrill of the hunt,” going back to hunter and gather societies where people have long pictured their lives somehow better with some new item- whether it’s a berry or a berry-colored pen. I buy stuff thinking maybe I’ll find my new favorite pen/paper/whatever, or that my life will somehow be more inspired/creative/enjoyable with it. Novelty goes a long way with me too, I love trying out new stuff and seeing if it inspires me or if it makes me want to try some other writing/collaging style. Or, the novelty of the new stuff just makes me want to write/do that hobby so I can play with my new goodies too. P.S.- I love that typewriter! I had a typewriter for a while as a kid that my grandma gave me, and the charm of them still wins me over. It’s weird how typewriters, record players, and old timey stuff is making a comeback now.
Hi Vickie, this is a most interesting post. I keep all my planners/appointment diaries too. Do you by any chance keep an electronic diary too? I still put recurring appointments in my phone diary but I still like it written down aswell, there is something about going back and viewing the memories which isn’t the same on a phone. Its also different to your journal as its just the snippets of life.
